I aim to give you the knowledge, support and motivation in order to empower you to make the changes you want to make for your own health and wellbeing.
I have always been fascinated by nutrition, health and the body. I also became increasingly aware of the high level of stress individuals are under in the western world as well as the growing incidences of illness there are.
I was frustrated by the lack of coherent support and guidance for those who needed or wanted it. Following a successful career in Sales and Marketing I decided to follow my heart and embarked on a three year intensive training at the Institute of Optimum Nutrition founded by Patrick Holford in London. I am passionate about my subject which is ever changing and I am committed to continual professional development and attend as many extra lectures and workshops as I can to be up to date and evidence based in my work.
I’ve worked in a corporate environment, travelling with my job and am now a working mother of two boys, so I have a fundamental understanding of the various challenges of life. I love the countryside I live in and am keen on fitness and fresh air. However, I also love to keep up with my friends and family and value connection with other people. I believe that as with nutrition, life is about balance.
I am a member of BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy), the professional body for nutritional therapists, and am bound to their strict Code of Ethics and Practice.
The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) Registration Scheme is supported by the Department of Health. It is designed to enable applicants to demonstrate that their training and experience meets the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for their profession. www.cnhc.org.uk
